Hey all you crazy Vikings!!!  Looks like you all had a good time at the reunion. Sorry I missed it.  I obviously didn't have Mrs. Grunden looking for me this time.  Peter must not have made an apperance.  Kim Blair was Ferrell, sent me this website after finally someone responding too late to my classmates cry for help.  You all looked wonderful on the float and if I would have recognized someone, the old me would have probably jumped on and said HI.  Please don't loose me for the next go around, I am in Spokane and I'm always around to get ahold of .  I know alot of you dont even know who I am, the girl that came into your senior year and ran track and High Jumped for the school.  So really only Brad, Kelly (both), julie, kim. rick, melissa, chris, and some others really would know who I was.  But I remember who alot of you are. and for those of your that are still around and look alot like your senior picutures. i've seen you around the community.  I am active in the communityand with my kids.  Son 18 going off to college and daughter 15 starting her ssophmore year in hs.  Come say Hi at the street fair first weekend of Aug i'll be selling kettlecorn on 5th and sherman.  Hope to see you at the next shindig.  Ellen

Cheryl - You are amazing!! I really wanted to be at the reunion because I haven't seen most of you since our soph year.

I moved back to Texas for Jr./Sr. years.

I married in '92 and moved back here in '93.  My husband, Keith and I have 2 girls. (9 and 12) I teach at Canfield Middle School and love it!

I took one of my daughters to D.C. over the 4th so we couldn't be there to see everyone again.  I hope everyone is great and I hope we have another reunion for the 25th!  Take care!!!

Some thoughts from a former No. Idahoan...

Award for Least To Age for a Female ... Julie Smith Murphey- way to go!

Really disappointed to not see any mullets or those tails you guys used to grow in the back of your dome!

CdA Resort... overrated for $300 a night, c'mon you're better than that!

Award for Best Looking goes to the Rossi Girls...great genes girls!

From down here, I thought I saw (back in the day) the members of the Farrah Fawcett Fan Club in those Skid Row videos- nice to see that big hair is still in!

Award for Still The Same After 20 Years... Jeff Moffat... Runner-up: Casey Boyer

Award for Least to Age for a Male: Kelly Gonser, looks like he did back in the Canfield days hitting those heel clicking jump shots!

Last, what was really noticable... some guys skip meals, while most guys need to skip meals.

What was really, really noticable... we can still party like rock stars (no matter what city or state we're in!), Class of '88 whether Cd'A or Ventura, CA knows how to live life to the fullest, while contributing to better society.

Cheryl, you continue to amaze us with the picture uploads, it's really great to have you in the Class of '88- wish I could have been there through the end. Thanks Idaho- I love you all!

The reunion was so fun! It was wonderful to see old friends, have a few laughs, and talk about old times as well as what we are doing now. I hope we can keep this site alive so we have a consistent place to go to keep in touch for future get togethers.

And... MANY MANY thanks to Cheryl for the countless hours she invested in our event. Many people do not know what it takes to seek people from far and away! She way sending emails when she should have been sleeping!

To everyone that helped w/the reunion a big "THANK YOU".  It was a lot of fun catching up with everyone.  Shame on those who live in town and didn't make it.  We missed you!  As for everyone else thanks for a great time and lets try and keep in touch this time around.  Plus I'll be hitting Gina, Caren and Gloria up for some pictures.  I didn't take as many as I thought.

Hello Again Everyone!

I just wanted to add another note just to say how much I have enjoyed learning about what you all have done with your lives since we graduated.  I got out my yearbook to look back at us during that time.  I'm very proud of you all for what you have done.  Melissa Werner, I thought for sure you would have gone to Hollywood for your gift in fashion design as I remember.  There's so much that I remember about everyone....I have to say that I am homesick every day not be out in CD'A.  That is where my heart will always be.  It has been very exciting seeing your pictures and stories, however it's been a little sad being so far away and not being able to have any contact with you.  As soon as I learn more about this site and how to post the pictures and all, I will give an update as well.  I don't know who reads the messages here, so please know that I would love to hear from you sometime in hopes that maybe I could see you again!  I have been fascinated knowing how you all are.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Since I was not able to attend the 20 year reunion, this has been a wonderful opportunity to experience a little of the excitement.  Ellen Harding Wilson, I found your entry on classmates.com and have responded with a message.  Please call me soon!
Take Care, My Friends!  Love, Kim

Hello to everyone in the CD'A HS Class of 1988!!  Wow, I am still in shock that Michelle Faucher-Sharples contacted me about this 20 year reunion a couple of weeks ago.  I sure wish I could attend and would love to see all of you.  I have been so lost for so long living in Virginia for about 17 years and have lost contact with everyone I even know out there in CD'A.  It's hard to believe...20 years....My oldest child, Kyler is almost 19 y.o.  He gave me a compliment when he saw my senior pictures...he said "You haven't really changed much, just your hair looks different."  Well, my life has been between Alfred Hitchcock and the Twilight Zone.  Hey Jessie Wiedemann Howell, I have a nursing career in substance abuse and addition.  Imagine that!  I don't know how everyone out there keeps in touch with others, but anyone who wants to contact me can call (434)821-2903 (home #) or my address is 941 Greenhouse Road, Rustburg, VA 24588.   I hope all of you have a great time.  I hope to get in touch with Cheryl to tell her how fabulous this website looks.  Take Care My Friends of  88'

Hello,
I'mmmmmmmm back......just kidding.  I actually never the area.  Well, except for a stint to Alaska after graduation and a few months in another city I realized I was just an Idaho girl.  I have a beautiful daughter who is 15 years old and is a gorgeous dancer.  (The only time I get to brag is when she's not around.)  Teenagers!!!!  Like I was ever one!  ;)  Have no idea where all this attitude comes from.  Funny how we always try to make it easier for our kids and wind up making it harder on us.   Note: Lessons Learned.  Anyway, hope everyone is good.  I'm alive and well.

Like everybody else, I can't believe it's been 20yrs. Mark and I have been married for 17yrs, and have a beautiful 16yr old daughter, Whitney. This is a new chapter for us because she just started driving by herself in Jan., and of course dating. Oh, and she is taller than me! Mark went into the military 3 days after graduation for 2 1/2 yrs. Got married, had a baby girl, went to school, then more school. We moved to Indiana and Mark went to IUPUI Dental School for four years, graduating in 2000. We moved to Camas Washington where we opened Austin Family Dentistry in neighboring Vancouver WA. I work with Mark, I do the books, make sure everything and everyone is paid, also I deal with the insurances; Oh Joy! I still work with our family business N.W. Care facilities, we have two retirement homes in Portland Oregon. To wrap up Mark enjoys golfing and playing racketball on the weekends and we work out together after work, stress reliever! Also, there is always a tournament of some kind with our daughter. She has been very active since she was born! Dance, soccer, volleyball track( she made it to state in long jump) hey! and when its not a school sport its club sport , where you travel and its year round. I'm sorry this is so long but I'm writing for two and only one of us might make it to the reunion. We are in Reno 27th of June to 4th of July for Volleyball regional; driving I might add w/ all the other families. UUUGGG. I thought I'd catch you up, sorry for the book! Becky got your message thanks and Todd S. Mark and I still laugh, but do thank you for working on Marks crazy step mom's chops, or should I say lack of.

Great job on the site, Cheryl!  It's fun to see what everyone is up to these days.  I promise to get my act together and post a profile soon.  Things have gone very well with the athletes thus far this year.  I was told that the Olympic year would be unlike anything else and they've been right on the money so far!!  One of my athletes (Jarred Rome) is currently featured in April's Vogue magazine (the one with LeBron James on the cover which is causing some controversy) and another (Ian Waltz) was profiled on NBC last month.  Link: http://universalsports.nbcsports.com/articles/show/47364?sport_id=26.  Aside from these events, the focus and effort displayed by the athletes has been nothing short of amazing.  We have about 5 weeks left of training left before May brings trips to northern California, Maui, and New York city for some early season meets which will hopefully prepare us well for the Olympic Trials later in June.  The top-3 in Eugene make the team for Beijing!  So wish us luck!!

It's still too early to tell if the schedule will work out for me to sneak over to CdA.  Irregardless I'm sure that everyone will have a great time!

-Bud

Wow....a definately step back in time!  Just checked a very old email address and found the "we are looking for you" email.  I totally missed the 10 year, looking forward to the 20 though.  When did we get this old?
I moved from CDA after I finished junior year, I have have been back on several occassions to see family and miss the area terribly.  Nothing compares to north Idaho and the feeling of "coming home".   I have been living in Vancouver, Washington area for the past 12 years with two of my three girls (the oldest is in her second year of college already). Again...where the hell did the time go!  We are way to young to be this damn old.
See ya'll in July!

I'd love to show off Idaho to my family, as well as, show off my family to Idaho! In the So Bay area of LA?... look me up- I'll show you where the waves are steady & where the fun never stops. I don't know if any of you will remember/recognize me. I accidently smashed my car and face into a telephone pole the summer of our senior year. Ouch!!!

I look forward to seeing you all and to hear of your journeys so far.

Remember when we thought our parents were ancient at 40, I can't believe we are almost there. I don't feel that old - hopefully i don't look it either. Atleast i have a face now - guess i should just be grateful, huh?

No matter where you have been, where you wanted to go, or who you wanted to be - it's not too late, we are still young, alive, and free!

Wow! I feel too young to be this old.  I am one of the lucky ones to be back living in CdA.  It sure has changed.  I was teaching at good ol' CHS, but have been home with my little boy Levi these last 2 years.  My husband Darrin and I have an old (money pit) home on Foster.  I remember looking at these houses from the bus on my way to Lakes and always loved them.  I love walking down to the beach and we have a great new library downtown.  I do bump into fellow classmates, and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all (especially Bill Paterson).  A big thanks to the reunion committee, this site is GREAT!

Hi all,
Bachelor name: Julian Saucedo (nickname at LJHS, "Saucedo Tomato").
Served on student council, 9th and 10th grades.
Currently an attorney living in Seattle, WA.
I moved to another high school in 1986 ("tempted by the fruit of another..."), which NO LONGER EXISTS! (They replaced it with a newer building in 2002. Thankfully, I don't think our CHS has been replaced.)
All that music i may or may NOT have liked in the eighties, well, now it takes me back.
Tip, for Lakes Alums: I think all that remains of our teachers from back then are Mr. Lind and Mr. Harrelson. And you know what, they haven't AGED A BIT!
I can't wait to see you all again after our ten year reunion. Shout out to all my good friends, including those of us together in student council, human equality club, and (Lakes, again) computer club, Mr. baum's camera club, Mr. Turbin's math classes, and Mr. Ivy's Elvis Impersonations. Tip me off in case of any sightings of Mr. Ballard.
