| Our Float Mentioned in Cd'A Press Twice! |
Donnie did a GREAT job with the float and parade activities. Thank you so much to all that helped decorate and participate in the parade.
"Members of the 1988 graduating class of Coeur d'Alene High School decorated a truck honoring all 14 of their deceased classmates, including Jesse Wright and his 16-year-old daughter, who were both killed in a 2006 car accident." "They were important to us then and we wanted to let their families know that they are still in our hearts 20 years later," said 1988 class member Dawn Potts." (Cd'A Press, 7/5/2008)
"Coeur d'Alene's Fourth of July Parade highlights ... Veterans of all ages, the fire department honor guard, Mayor Sandi Bloem on the back of a Harley, Councilman Woody McEvers inexplicably high atop a carriage filming the crowd, longtime Commodore John McGruder recuperating from hip surgery and riding a scooter with the Coeur d'Alene pirate float contingent, Uncle Sam aka William Beckett on stilts, Sen. John Goedde two days returned from his Thailand honeymoon, the Red Hot Mamas Boys, Shriner Potentate Bill Hamilton getting a rousing round of applause from the crowd gathered on his front porch at Ninth and Sherman, zoot-suited Scott Hough, the wild and wacky and musically talented Perfection-Nots and last but not least ... Coeur d'Alene High School's class of 1988 paying respects to their gone but not forgotten classmates: Alan Broadwater, Michelle Carter, Chris Franks, Jeff Goff, Justin Crandal, Rich Draben, Jeff Carpita, Marshall Carter, Bear Mangeres, Mike McGrier, Susan Savoy, Matt Thompson, Jesse Wright, Matt Frogness and to all serving in the Armed Forces. Classy class." (Cd'A Press, Kerri Thoreson's column, 7/9/2008)
