We all love music and so many songs remind us of growing up.  Isn't it funny how you can hear a song and be immediately transported to that time? 

We need your help.  We have 3 events that need music.

1. Parade - Donnie needs to put together a CD of 10 or so songs for the parade.  Please let him know if you have suggestions - Donnie_Bryntesen@missionfoods.com

2. Thursday night at BRIX - Bring your iPods!  We can hook them into the sound system.  I already set up a "CHS Reunion" playlist in my iTunes and have been adding fun 80s music.  Do you want to hear any new music?  Some of the new music makes me feel old - I don't know much of the new stuff so load what you want to hear or email with suggestions.  I have a pretty large music collection.  I spent my hard earned 'Lil Bear and Cricket's money on cassettes and CDs instead of clothes!  :)

3. Cruise - We have a DJ and need some requests!  80s?  Mix of everything?  You can put requests in the comments to the blog or email to me.

Also, if you hadn't noticed, there is a playlist on the homepage of our website with 39 songs in it that I set up a couple of months ago for your listening pleasure….

Just wanted to let you know that I put music back onto the website so turn down the volume if you open at work.

We had "Glory Days" by Bruce Springsteen playing for the first few 2-3 months and then took the music off.  Decided it was time to add some tunes and spice it up a bit.

Now Playing………The CHS Fight Song by the CHS Band!  Seriously!  I love the internet.  You can find just about anything.

Let me know what you want to hear and I can change it easily.  I just need an MP3 file.  It only plays on the homepage.

Can anyone fit into their old CHS gear? You probably need new stuff after 20 years anyway, right? Each time I make it back to Cd'A, I look for stuff and it is hard to find.

Russ Giles (Class of 1987) runs the new Viking Mobile for the Viking Booster Club. They don't have a website set up yet so now is your chance to buy up all of the Viking attire you can get your hands on. Russ is hoping to get me a photo or two to show some examples, however, he said he has lots of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.

He is planning to set up the Viking Mobile at/or near the 4th of July parade on Friday morning. Probably down by the IGA. I will let you know the details when I have them.

Donnie Bryntesen had the t-shirts made up for the parade.  Some are red and some blue.  Both have white lettering.  Attached is a picture of the artwork.  Great job Donnie!

Hope all of you dads had a great day today.

Anyone want to play golf 4th of July weekend? There was a little chatter on the message boards in February, however, not many people seem to use the message boards so wanted to follow up with an email.

Russ Giles (Class of 1987) is the Tournament Coordinator/Corporate Sales at the Cd'A Resort Golf Course. I just spoke to him and he can extend our class an invitation for a deal to those that arrive early or live close. As you know, this is the busy and expensive time of the season in Cd'A, however, he said, "On the last day of June [Monday, June 30th], I can extend a $99 rate after 2:30pm. That is still full 18 holes of golf. There are some times left. Let me know cause they are open to the public. Normal rates this time a year is $270."

He also mentioned that those staying at the Resort, get $50 off of the day rate so a round would be $220. You should make your tee times soon.
