They were impressed with the park and beach those. I have four children and keep very busy. My oldest daughter is a freshman and about to get her drivers license. My youngest is first grade and the only boy. My life now is pretty much work and kids. Can't wait too see everyone. City: Yelm
State/Prov.: Washington Occupation: Psychiatric Social Worker/Unit Manager Marital Status: Committed Relationship No. of Children: 3 Who was your favorite teacher?: Facciano, Terris What is your favorite high school memory?: So many memories, so little space... What have you been doing since June 6, 1988?: With great dreams of moving to the "big City", I took off for Carroll College in Helena, Montana (okay, when your parents are paying most of your college tuition, you go where they tell you). I spent 4 great years in Montana, making lifelong friendships, partying, and finding the man of my dreams. I graduated with a BA in social work and set off with the man of my dreams for the big city (Seattle). I got married, spent time traveling and obtained my Masters degree in social work at the University of Washington. After a few years, reality set in and I discovered a) my husband was not the man of my dreams, and b) I love visiting the big city but hate living there. So, freshly divorced and highly educated (LOL) I set off for the land of cows and farms - finally settling 60 miles South of Seattle in the tiny town of Yelm, WA. Now I can visit the city whenever I want but go home to my rural roots at the end of the day. Once settled, I did finally meet the man of my dreams and his wonderful 5 year old daughter, Lacey. Over the years we have added to our clan and we now have an 8 year old son (Brandon) and a 1 1/2 year old Daughter (Sophia). Lacey is a Sophmore in high school and a perfect example of the brooding teenager (I believe my parents are secretly laughing as they watch me go through everything I put them through). For the past ten years I have worked at the state psychiatric hospital as a Psychiatirc Social Worker and program manager. I spend my down time gardening and pretending to be a gourmet cook (I wonder why everyone runs when I pull out the saucepan...?). I also fancy myself a great t-ball coach and chauffer. I do occassionally step out on the town a dare to have a martini or 2. Basically, I live the life I thought sounded soooo boring 20 years ago. Now I appreciate every moment. What do you miss most about high school?: No Mortgage, No car payment, Skiing every weekend and having parents who pay for it, saying "are we there yet" instead of listening to it... |

City: West Linn
State/Prov.: OR Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 Who was your favorite teacher?: Mrs. Reed (Lakes) What is your favorite high school memory?: I have a terrible memory! I'll have to ask Cheryl or Julie - HA!... What have you been doing since June 6, 1988?: My parents are still in CDA and we love to visit, but Portland has been home to me since 1994 and I love it. My sister, Michelle, is teaching in Boise. I graduated from Uof I (CHS continued annex!) in Architecture with an Art Minor. I met my husband Bill at work, a company named Group Mackenzie. We married in 1996 and in 2000 we had our first child named Mackenzie Rose. We also have a son, Kyle, born on St. Patrick's Day, 2002. Of course, they are our pride and joy. Honestly, I can't remember yesterday much less remember back 20 years... it is truly a blur... just blah, blah, blah... Fortunately, for the last few years, I've been able to stay at home with the kids (stay-at-home being a relative term since we are rarely actually at home!) My A.D.D. keeps me interested in everything and quite busy just re-looking for my keys and searching for the glasses on my face!! It is tough getting old isn't it?! I teach children's art classes very part time and mostly I am the shuttle service to various activities. I just started chaperoning the ski bus so I can get some free skiing in! I am hoping to rewrite the old definitions of "soccer mom" and "stage mom" and show these roles in a new light! Yes, I am the mini van driving, PTA member and suburban school volunteer that we all love and sometimes hate! What do you miss most about high school?: Looking at this old picture, I sure DON'T miss the 3 layers of collars standing up! |
