State/Prov.: CA Occupation: Mortgage Refugee Marital Status: Committed Relationship Who was your favorite teacher?: Survey Says: Plumlee and Facciano! What is your favorite high school memory?: Drinking 2 liters of California Coolers out at Mica Bay What have you been doing since June 6, 1988?: Well...let's see. I, like so many others left Cd'A and attended college down in Moscow at U of I. After college I lived in Boise for about 7 years. Married...divorced, and left chasing a childhood dream to live in San Francisco. Swore to all my friends in Boise I'd only be gone for 2 years, however in just a few weeks I'll be celebrating my 10 year anniversary of living in the Bay Area. Needless to say, I won't be leaving any time soon. I love living here even if the people from California can't drive and steal all of Idaho's water ;-) Currently I'm living in the amazing nickel-dime neighborhood (that's the 5-1-0 area code don't you know) of Grand Lake in Oakland. A beautiful and safe neighborhood, I assure you. I'm working for Countrywide Home Loans who is still, despite all the fallout in mortgage lending, the largest mortgage company in the US (which of course isn't saying much these days) who is about to merge with Bank of America, the largest bank in the universe. Or at least that's what the rumor is this week. Anyone tracking the news these days knows it has been crazy in my industry but it's what I've been doing for the last 6 years so what can you do? Just for fun we closed 14 Wholesale Centers this week, two of which were consolidated into my branch. Yipee Credit Crisis! Needless to say, I'm SO looking forward to taking a full week off for the reunion! Other than that I share my life with my loyal 12-yr old pooch Bailey-girl and an amazing man named Tom who lives in Huntington Beach. We go back and forth between Northern and Southern California -- having met up in Napa, we are both avid wine and outdoor enthusiasts so we make the best of what the region has to offer. We're both looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up in July! What do you miss most about high school?: I could probably write a novel on this topic. Maybe not so much about missing high school in general, but just growing up in Coeur d'Alene and the good times shared with so many of you. I mean, what a crazy beautiful place right? I thought everyone was just like us, growing up in a place that had so much beauty. I think it is amazing that so many of us have stayed in touch over the years - and formed life long bonds with one another. I have NEVER known another individual who has as deep of ties as we all do to our high school and community. Not superficial ones either, but truly genuine friendships that have lasted for more than the last 20 years. You don't really realize how special or unusual that is until you get out there in the world. I consider myself so blessed for that...I have just loved reading everyone's updates and profiles. It's sure to be a great time this July. Cheryl...thanks for working so hard on this. The website is awesome. You're the glue man. |

George Saylor, Ed Kurowski, so many others What is your favorite high school memory?: TKB - SOCCER - Gotcha - late nights at my dad's computer in the hospital typing papers for Isitt, Boise road trips, my VW Rabbit (which blew up when my brother Greg started driving it), Graduation night & morning, B&R, UMC Youth Group, & What have you been doing since June 6, 1988?: I went to UI in the fall and pledged AGD. After a year, this handsome Pike next door tackled me in the hall and we got married three years later. After fifteen years, we have two amazing children and graduate school loans that we will be paying forever! We never could get away from North Idaho. We were both managers at Silverwood and then decided we needed to have real jobs. He got his master's and recently his doctorate from ISU and I went to Whitworth and then back to UI. We were "educationally separated" for twenty-seven months. Arg! But we made it and he just opened up a new clinic in Post Falls and I moved to Mullan Trail Elementary where my daughter will be a first grader in the fall. This is the good life. With that move I continued my passion for teaching and feel more balanced with my family. What do you miss most about high school?: Being in shape to play soccer for 90 min. straight, again for the next game, and knees that worked. From Michelle: I had to go back to Brad's 20 year reunion in San Francisco to find a picture with both of us in it. (His best friend Rob, who followed Brad to UI and now lives in Post Falls too, is the other guy.) Before that it would have been my sister Marjorie-Ann's wedding. That was before my daughter, Micah, and son, Charles Daniel, were born, but my step-bro Chris Adams is in that one. :) I went with the most recent. |
